This website was inspired by family and friends. It also serves to help me organize my photos and my thoughts. Thank you to all who view and use this site for sharing my enthusiasm in photos and photography and for your patience as I take my photos.
Thanks to the many family members and friends who have inspired me through the years, photography and photo presentation have been interests of mine for a long time. After pursuing another career, I came back to these hobbies about five years ago and found myself swept into the world of digital photography and presentation.
My philosophy is still to do most of my photography in the camera as I prefer to be taking photos rather than processing them. In lieu of a darkroom, I use Google Picasa to keep my photos organized, do some cropping and make the occasional tweak. However, since I was just talked into purchasing Adobe Photoshop Elements 8, we shall see what happens.
Another part of my philosophy is to have cameras which travel with me, easily. Therefore, my current camera set includes a Panasonic micro 4/3's Lumix DMC GF-1 with 14-45mm and 45-200mm lenses, a Panasonic Lumic DMC LX-2 and an Olympus Stylus 770SW.
Presentation of my work is made easy using WebEasy 8.0 web design software from Avanquest Software. I host with GoDaddy (doesn't everyone?). My main computer is a Dell Inspiron 1525 running Windows Vista (believe it or not).
